The last few weeks I have seen statements that June got a divorce from Rip in 1966. I kept thinking that was not correct so I did some checking. In June's book Among "My Klediments" she states that after six years she and Rip got a divorce. So she got her divorce in 1963 around the time she wrote Love is a Ring of Fire Ring that Anita recorded as a folk song. John changed the name of the song and some of the wording when he recorded it. Those people on iwalkedtheline was so incorrect.

Those people on I walked the line don't know the June we know in fact they are all Kathy clones..I notice she doesn't have many clones on her site and the June fans closed down I walked the line forum.

June wrote this song around 1956. When she wrote a song it was usually about something going on in her life. I have my opinions on who the person is she is singing about. Does anyone else have an opinion regarding this song? She always seemed to enjoy singing it as though it meant a lot to her.
